Response and rapid deployment boom needs to be stored in a manner consistent with the way in which it is going to be used.  A balance should be struck between the investment in the boom and the manner in which it is stored and handled.  The frequency of deployment, the required speed of deployment and need for mobility, the cost and availability of labor and the ruggedness of the boom are some of the factors that should be considered when evaluating a storage solution.

AFTI’s BoomBoxes and BoomReels are popular storage solutions that provide protection for your investment in the boom, rapid deployment and, if needed, mobility/transportability.  The AFTI BoomBox permits the boom to conveniently pre-positioned at, or quickly moved to, a launch location.  The drop down gate at either end is then lowered and the boom quickly deployed.
