BoomBox

AFTI’s BoomBoxes provide an economic storage solution while still allowing for rapid deployment of the stored boom.  Easily moved and positioned with either forklift or crane, they can be kept on the wharf or in the warehouse.  Secured to a trailer, they permit large quantities of boom to be quickly transported to more distant spill locations.

Even synthetic fabrics are susceptible to rot if they are subjected to prolonged storage in warm, damp conditions.  AFTI’s BoomBoxes are constructed using tubular steel frames, diamond plate decks and ramps, and expanded  metal sides.  This allows for ample air circulation, as well as, a lighter weight construction.  (In situations where weight is a particular concern, aluminum models are also available.)  Tarpaulin covers are supplied with each BoomBox to minimize the UV exposure of the boom.
