AFTI offers four basic lines of high quality, state of the art oil spill control barriers to cover the broadest range of operating conditions. These include:

GLOBEBOOM^®  
Five models using various fabrics are available. GlobeBoom^® offers a broad range of moderately priced, yet "Oilfence tough" emergency response and semi-permanent barriers. GlobeBoom^® is based on a conventional design. The paired hemispherical floats allow compact storage, unparalleled flexibility, and convenient handling. Exclusive Globe fabrics provide superior hydrodynamic, strength and abrasion resistance compared to comparably priced barriers.

OILFENCE™
Four sizes of durable, functional, yet compact barriers for permanent or continuous use are available. Many users have also found that OILFENCE™ booms are also extremely effective in emergency response situations under a broad range of sea, wind, and current conditions. Due to their proven longevity, OILFENCE™ booms are often far more economical that other, comparably sized, booms on today's market.

CONTRACTOR'S SPECIAL "CS" BOOM
AFTI's "CS" boom is available in various sizes and configurations providing economical yet durable containment. We have integrated superior materials and decades of practical experience into this conventionally designed product.

FIREPROOF BARRIERS
Applied Fabric technologies offers two distinct types of fire proof boom. Both of these products are based upon proven technology and are designed to assist operators in "In-situ" burning. These two barriers are PyroBoom^® and PocketBoom. PyroBoom^® is a stand alone, solid flotation boom designed to quickly respond to spills, burn them and then be refurbished for reuse. Developed in 1984 for use on the Alaska North Slope and other remote locations, it is simple, durable and easy to use. PyroBoom^® has been subjected to numerous test protocols and has passed them all.

PocketBoom is a re-design of the original Dome Petroleum high seas fireproof barrier. This design is all stainless steel and was developed to be used in conjunction with other booms that, in retrospect, have been shown to be less than durable in actual burn conditions. Eleven companies and agencies participated in the re-design and testing of PocketBoom. Its performance far surpassed all of the test protocol parameters for durability, re-usability and flex and fatigue resistance under fire.

PyroBoom^® is available in 30" overall height. PocketBoom is available in a 36" overall height. AFTI will tailor packages including containers, handling equipment and storage facilities for both PyroBoom^® and PocketBoom.
