Applied Fabric Technologies, Inc. is one of the world's leading manufacturers of fire boom and has been involved in the development of products for containing or diverting burning oil on water for 25 years. For this demanding application, our focus has been on proven functionality and durability through a solid, reliable design.  As a consquence, the evolving practice of in-situ burning has brought more and more attention to our two main products designed for use as fire boom:

 
AFTI's products are currently in use in the Gulf of Mexico, working to assist in the clean-up and containment of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill to minimize shore impact. Our fire boom, PyroBoom, is being used in multiple in-situ burns with much success. We continue to manufacture fire boom, oil skimmers and other clean up equipment to continue work in the Gulf and around the world.
